Customs and shipping
The service ships nothing and collects no fees. This page helps you foresee the costs before you buy.
The "Possible customs" badge
We show it when the seller and the buyer are in different countries and at least one of them is outside the European Union. Inside the EU there is no duty; between two non-EU countries the rules depend on those countries.
What may be added to the price
- Import VAT in the buyer's country – in the EU charged from the first euro of the parcel's value.
- Customs duty – depends on the kind of goods and their value; used props and books often carry a low or zero rate, but the buyer is responsible for checking.
- The carrier's fee for customs clearance.
Good practice
- The seller states the true value and contents of the parcel; understating the value on a customs declaration is illegal.
- The buyer checks before "Buy now" whether the item may be imported into their country.
- The shipping cost in a listing does not include duty or tax unless the seller says otherwise.
Shipping scope
The seller chooses where to ship: own country only, the European Union, Europe or worldwide, with a list of exceptions. If your country is outside the scope, ask the seller by message – they may make an exception.
