Safe trading rules

Top Change does not handle payments. Payment and shipping take place directly between you, so a few rules are worth keeping.

Before you buy

• Check the seller's profile: the verification badge, ratings and the account age.
• Ask questions through the messages in the Service so the conversation is on record.
• Agree on the price, the shipping cost and the payment method before you click "Buy now" or make an offer – both are binding.
• When buying from outside the European Union, check possible customs duty and tax (the "Customs and shipping" page).

Payment

• Prefer methods with buyer protection (for example PayPal "Goods and services"); avoid "friends and family" transfers and gift cards.
• Never share card details in messages. Report a message that asks for card details or links to an unknown payment site with the "Report" button.
• Keep the proof of payment.

Shipping

• Sellers: ship with tracking and set the status "Shipped" in the transaction; photograph the parcel.
• Buyers: after delivery confirm the status "Received" and leave a rating.
• For valuable items consider insuring the parcel.

When something goes wrong

• Write to the other side through the Service first; most problems are delays.
• If the other side does not reply in time, report it in the transaction – we may issue a strike.
• Report fraud with the "Report" button (reason: fraud) – such reports reach us immediately – and to the police.
